The story begins after Lord Sriram defeating Ravana, he returns to Ayodhya along with Goddess Sita and crowned as the emperor, settles down to a harmonious lifestyle along with his biological and fosters mothers, three brothers Lakshman, Bharat and Shatrughan and their wives.

Abandoned in the forest by their father, King Rama, the twin sons Lav and Kush are raised by a sage and train as fierce warriors, only to unknowingly challenge their father's army in a pivotal battle that forces the exiled queen, Sita, to finally confront her past.

After defeating Ravanji, Bhagwan Shri Ram returns to Ayodhya, is crowned the emperor and settles down to a harmonious lifestyle along with his biological and fosters mothers, three brothers (Lakshman, Bharat and Shatrughan), their respective wives, and his very own wife, Devi Maa Sitaji, who is expecting soon. When his spies inform him that his reputation may be at stake as Sitaji had spent over a year in Ravanji's Lanka, he asks a reluctant Lakshman, to ensure that Sitaji is sent to exile. A devastated, pregnant, and distraught Sitaji is rescued by Maharishi Valmiki, who takes her to his Ashram, renames her Lokpavni, where she subsequently gives birth to two sons, Kush and Lav. Valmikiji trains them in every possible way, including knowledge, warfare, and religion.

King Ram is distressed to learn that His male subjects consider Him to have been in error when He accepted the return of His wife, Sita, after Her enforced absence with Ravan. Despite his belief in Her chasteness, the King sees it as His duty to bow to democratic will. He orders His brother, Laxman, to abandon Sita in the forest and he bolts the doors of his chambers and His heart to His wife. Cast into perdition, Sita is prevented from suicide by the sage, Gurudev, who takes Her in and gives Her shelter. She gives birth to twins, Lav and Kush. Under the tutelage of the Sage, the boys become masters at arms. Using magical powers, they rout an army seeking to establish the King's rule over the Hermitage where the boys live. Laxman is wounded in the battle. The King, Himself, enters the fray seeking revenge. In the nick of time, father, mother and sons, and the King and His subjects are reconciled and Sita returns to the bosom of Mother Earth from which She came.
